COSTAS VAROTSOS

Costas Varotsos was elected professor at the Aristotle University in 1999, and teaches Fine Arts at the School of Architecture.

He has represented Greece at the Sao Paulo Biennale in 1987 and at the Venice Biennale in 1999. He has participated in the Venice Biennale with the Italian Pavilion twice in 1992 and 1995 and at the Los Angeles International Biennale in 1999. He has presented many of his works. exhibitions in Greece and abroad. His works are available in public places in Greece, Cyprus, Italy, USA and Switzerland. He has received the Street Trend award 2004/2005, for his work.

2001 ”in Switzerland and the award for best sculpture from the Year in Review 2004 for his work Communicating Containers in Palm Beach, Florida, USA. In 2007 he received the Segno d’Oro Sculpture Award for his overall artistic contribution to Italy and has received an honorary distinction from the President of the Italian Republic.
